For 2026-27 a Greensboro parcel owes 79.85 cents per $100 to the city and 78.95 cents to Guilford County, $1.588 combined, and both give a 1% discount for payment before September 1.
For investors: Greensboro also charges a $30 fee on each motor vehicle, which is neither discounted nor penalized. Because this year's rate is applied to 2025 values under the moratorium, model a longer Greensboro hold on the parcel's January 2026 value instead of the current bill.

Three Greensboro special districts raise the combined 2026-27 rate: the Downtown Improvement District by 9 cents ($1.678), Dunleath Historic District by 5 cents ($1.638) and College Hill Historic District by 1 cent ($1.598).
For investors: Check the rate code on the parcel's Guilford bill before modeling a downtown condo or a house in Dunleath or College Hill. The county's rate table lists them as codes 24, 19 and 20, each stacking a district rate on the city and county levies.

Session Law 2026-8 froze Guilford County's 2026 reappraisal for a year: 2026-27 bills use 2025 values, the January 2026 values first apply to 2027-28 bills, and the next reappraisal is set for 2032.
For investors: A Greensboro rental's 2026-27 bill uses its 2025 value, and the January 2026 value takes over with the bill for the year starting July 2027. Owners who skipped the 2026 appeal can still challenge that value until May 17, 2027, so gather comparable sales before then.
